Fassbender Park
Kaukauna High School’s Civic Engagement Class is working to revitalize Fassbender Park, located at Quinney Ave. Thanks to a generous donation from The David and Rita Nelson Family Fund, this project is starting to take shape. When complete, the park will include LED trees, as well as real trees, and an amphitheater (see images below). The Kaukauna Cheese Crock will stay with the park, along with new a statue of Electa Quinney. Stay tuned for more information on this revitalization project.
The Civic Engagement Class’s goal is to raise $10,000. Please consider donating today to Fassbender Park – where community comes together! To purchase a brick containing a personalized message, click here. Each brick costs $300 with the proceeds supporting the park’s continued renovation.
History of Fassbender Park
Hubert Fassbender opened the Kaukauna Cheese Company in 1918. He built Fassbender Park at the former location of Kaukauna Cheese. Fassbender created a ceramic crock that he used as a container for his products. A representation of this crock was built and placed in the park. This crock will remain in the park today to maintain the Kaukauna Cheese legacy.
