Bodo

And Officer Stephanie Maas

Bodo is a German Shepherd from Germany. He has been working for KPD since 2020 and Officer Maas has been working for KPD since 2015.

Rocko (Retired)

And Officer Lucas Meyer

Rocko is a Dutch Shepherd from Mexico. He has been working for KPD since 2015 and Officer Meyer has been working for KPD since 2011.

School Resource Officer

Police School Liaison Officers (PSLOs) work in cooperation with the schools and police in a proactive manner to deal with youth concerns before they become youth problems.

Police, working in partnership with the schools, provide the opportunity to implement programs aimed primarily at prevention of delinquent behavior through education, communication, and understanding among the school, youth, police, and the community.

The Kaukauna Police Department has three officers working as PSLOs–one at the Kaukauna High School , one at River View Middle School, and one at the Elementary schools.

Community Service Officer

The Kaukauna Police Department currently has one community service officer.  The community service officer handles calls for service that include; vehicle lock outs, animal calls, vacation checks, lost and found property complaints, parking complaints, etc.

Investigations

The Kaukauna Police Department currently has two investigators.  Investigators typically handle more complex cases that require more resources or man-power than patrol can provide.  Officers assigned to Investigations have multiple years of service and have specialized training in several areas.

Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group (MEG Unit)

The Kaukauna Police Department has on officer in the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group, which coordinates drug enforcement efforts of police agencies in Outagamie, Winnebago, Fond Du Lac and Calumet counties. Investigators in this group focus their attention on apprehending drug offenders and dealers.
