Information Technology (IT) encompasses many aspects in modern government operations. It’s easy to see some of the technology, like the computers and presentation displays / kiosks… but IT plays a much bigger role behind the scenes. Today, government consists of advanced inter-connected facilities and inter-operational system to enable public safety access to massive amounts of information and resources. IT aids in communications platforms from 2-way radios to telephones to cell phones to email – enabling instant communication across a wide variety of labor groups.
