1-24 Concrete Street Paving Project
The landscape contractor will finish the backfilling, grading, seeding and placement of erosion mat on the terraces the week of October 7th. Please water the new landscaping to help the new grass to grow.
- The contractor will be removing some of the traffic control and cleaning the streets. The contractor will also be working on replacing manholes and inlets.
Schedule could change due to weather or Contractor’s other project obligations.
3-24 Concrete Alley Paving Project
The contractor will continue working on the pedestrian alleys the week of October 7th. This concrete will have a design representing the river. The contractor has the pedestrian alley between Third Street and the Second/Third Street Alley almost done. The concrete work in the pedestrian alleys will take longer due to the integrate concrete forming and detail work such as the edging, tree planters, and colored concrete. The week of October 7th the contractor plans to get the Second Street pedestrian alley near completion and prep the restoration areas along the main alley.
- The soil and planter wall caps will be installed after the concrete in the pedestrian alleys is complete and has had time to strengthen and cure.
- The main Second/Third Street Alley will be closed where the pedestrian alleys intersect. The main alley in this location will be closed to traffic for 7 days after the last concrete pour.
- The contractor will also be replacing some of the sidewalk and alley aprons at the ends of the alleys. They will do this work in phases to keep at least one end of the each alley open for traffic.
