2-24 W. Tobacnoir Street Area Utility Relay
- Carl Bowers Construction –May have 1 crew on site at times performing miscellaneous work. All excavation work should be completed at this time.
-
- (There is a tentative date for remaining paving work set for August 12. This would include all remaining streets yet to be paved, as well as any needed patches from prior areas. This date is subject to change over the next few weeks. Grass restoration to follow this work.)
-
- Scott Lamers Construction – Will continue completing private lateral replacements in various locations throughout the job site.
- Brandon Bowers Construction – Has begun grass restoration work in the areas that are already paved. He will continue this work through next week. (You might notice that there will be small areas in front of any remaining gravel sidewalks that are not completely restored with topsoil at this time. The reason for that is so the gravel can be pulled away and graded for asphalt sidewalk installation without ruining any adjacent restoration. These areas will get restored after sidewalks are paved.)
5-24 Kenneth Avenue Utility Relay Project
Arthur Street Area –The Contractor will continue working on sanitary and water services from 132 Arthur Street to Lawe Street the rest of this week. The contractor will also be replacing some storm sewer structures near Green Bay Road.
DRIVEWAYS/PARKING – Please do not park on the road while the contractor is performing their work in the area. They need plenty of room for their trucks and equipment to be able to easily, quickly, and safely complete their work. Park in your driveway if possible, or on the nearest side street.
- If you need special accommodations for parking, please reach out as we can arrange different parking options. This includes anyone with disabilities, recent surgeries, expecting mothers, and mothers with newborns that have appointments. Unfortunately, there is no “one size fits all” for parking and property access. The fewer cars that the contractor has to work around, the faster they can get the work done on your block and move on.
WORK ZONE SAFETY – While driving through the construction site, be sure to travel slowly and keep an eye out for equipment. This not only cuts down on dust, but also keeps the construction workers safe. Operators try their best to see traffic, but their view can be obstructed at times. It is always best to try and gain eye contact with equipment operators prior to driving by. You may need to wait at times before driving by depending on the work being performed. Please be patient during construction.
* PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WORK AND SCHEDULE CAN CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER OR UNFORSEEN CONSTRUCTION DELAYS. THESE UPDATES ARE TO AID THE COMMUNICATION PROCESS AS WE ALL WORK TOGETHER TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT IN A TIMELY MANNER *
