Redevelopment Authority – Open Seat

Help revitalize our community! We are looking to fill a seat on the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Kaukauna (or RACK). As part of RACK, you can be a part of decision-making on buying land, approving facades, and giving loans to help “redevelop” Kaukauna.

RACK is one of the primary engines for redeveloping underutilized sites within the City of Kaukauna; with an emphasis on redeveloping the City’s downtown. RACK has the authority to purchase land and negotiate with developers. RACK also has a robust loan program it oversees. The loan program is used, within the historic downtown to retain, expand, and revitalize businesses. Beyond economic development, RACK also oversees the aesthetic of the City’s downtown. All changes to the exterior of a downtown building must be reviewed and approved by RACK before work can begin.
