Road Construction Updates – Week of Oct. 14-18

1-24 Concrete Street Paving Project

The landscape contractor will finish the backfilling, grading, seeding and placement of erosion mat on the terraces on October 11th. The contractor will be removing some of the traffic control once the City has put up the new signage.  The contractor will also be working on replacing manholes and inlets.

The asphalt paving contractor will be in on Monday to pave the ends of the alleys.  They will be cutting and grading the ends of the alleys in the morning.  They will pave the alleys in the afternoon.  The alleys will be opened either Monday evening or Tuesday morning.

Schedule could change due to weather or contractor’s other project obligations.

3-24 Concrete Alley Paving Project

The contractor will finish up the concrete work, including work along the main alley the week of October 14th. The contractor will also be replacing some of the sidewalk and alley aprons at the ends of the alleys.  They will do this work in phases to keep at least one end of the each alley open for traffic.

• The planting soil will be placed in the planters and the caps will be placed on the block planters once the concrete work is complete.
• The asphalt areas along the main alley alley will be restored shortly after the concrete work is complete.
