Road Construction Updates – Week of Sept. 23-27

1-24 Concrete Street Paving Project
The alleys will be open to traffic. The contractor will be replacing the alley aprons one at a time. They will replace on apron alley and then pour the other apron alley a week later so residents can get into the alley.
- The contractor will continue working on sidewalk and driveway apron replacement the week of September 23rd. The contractor will let you know when they will be replacing your sidewalk apron and/or the sidewalk across your driveway. You will need to find an alternative parking spot for roughly 7 days while this concrete cures and strengthens.
- The contractor will start to backfill and grade the terraces for landscaping later during the week of September 23rd.
Schedule could change due to weather or Contractor’s other project obligations.
3-24 Concrete Alley Paving Project
The contractor will be working on the pedestrian alleys later the week of September 23rd. This concrete will have a design representing the river and will take longer to do then plain concrete.
- The planter construction should be finished by the end of Monday. The soil and planter wall caps will be installed after the concrete in the pedestrian alleys is complete and has had time to strengthen and cure.
- The main Second/Third Street Alley will be closed where the pedestrian alleys intersect. The main alley in this location will be closed to traffic for 7 days after the last concrete pour.
- Parking lot entrances off the main alley should be open the week of September 23rd. The sidewalk at the ends of the alleys will be replaced once the pedestrian alleys are complete.
- Vehicles can still be parked in the public parking lot at the intersection of Third and Main, you will need to enter and exit onto Third Street.
