Project 1-23 Concrete Street Paving Project – Week of July 3rd

Quinney Avenue, Metoxen Avenue, Dixon Street and Seventh Street Areas:
CONSTRUCTION – The storm sewer contractor continues working on the storm sewer relaying along Seventh Street. They will continue working on Seventh the week of July 3rd. The contractor will install the storm sewer along Metoxen Avenue next and then work on storm sewer lateral installation.
If you have a driveway along Seventh Street, please find alternate while the sewer crew is working in front of your lot . They should have all driveways open to residents at the end of the workday.
The paving contractor plans to start pavement removal and excavation work the week of July 17th. When the paving contractor sends an updated schedule, an update will be posted.
Loderbauer Road, White Dove Lane and White Birch Lane Areas:
CONSTRUCTION -The Paving contractor is planning to start removing existing pavement and excavating the existing stone base on Loderbauer Road on July 5th. The contractor will then place base stone and grade the stone. This section of Loderbauer will be closed to traffic during this work. The contractor will grade White Dove and White Birch starting June 29th. They will be setting iron stakes and a string line and then grade one side of the street. While the contractor is grading you will not be able to drive on White Birch or White Dove. In the evenings when they are not working, they will provide access to the driveways.
Shortly after grading is complete, the contractor will pave the road. You will not be able to drive on the new concrete for 7 days while it is curing and strengthening. The contractor will grade and pave the other lane once the first lane has cured and strengthened.
Greyhound Street, Boxer Street and Setter Drive Areas:
CONSTRUCTION – The Paving contractor started grading Greyhound Street, Boxer Street and Setter Drive on June 28th. They set iron stakes and a string line and then grade one side of the street. While the contractor is grading you will not be able to drive these roads. In the evening when they are not working, the contract should provide access to the driveways by dropping the string.
-Paving should start shortly after the grading work is done. You will not be able to drive on the new concrete for 7 days while it is curing and strengthening. The contractor will grade and pave the other lane once the first lane has cured and strengthened.
Oak Street and Schultheis Street Areas:
CONSTRUCTION -The storm sewer contractor is planning to start storm sewer work the week of July 17th. The paving contractor plans to start pavement removal and excavation work the week of August 14th. When the paving contractor sends an updated schedule, an update will be posted.
Canal Street Area:
CONSTRUCTION – The storm sewer contractor is planning to start storm sewer work the week of July 24th. The paving contractor plans to start pavement removal and excavation work the week of August 21st. When the paving contractor sends an updated schedule, an update will be posted.
