ORDINANCE ANNEXING LAND FROM THE TOWN OF BUCHANAN TO THE CITY OF KAUKAUNA

WHEREAS, a Petition for Direct Annexation signed by more than one-half of all owners of land area within such territory, has been filed with the Clerk of the City of Kaukauna and the Clerk of the Town of Buchanan, together with a scale map and a legal description of the property to be annexed showing the boundaries of such territory and the relation of the territory to the municipality to which annexation is requested, and

WHEREAS, notice of proposed annexation was served upon the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration, and said Department has determined that the proposed annexation is not against the public interest, and

WHEREAS, there has been due compliance with all requirements of Section 66.0217 of the Wisconsin State Statutes.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Common Council of the City of Kaukauna do ordain as follows:

That the particular property hereinafter described pursuant to the Petition filed with the Clerk of the City of Kaukauna be, and the same is, hereby annexed to the City of Kaukauna, and the same is hereby detached, by operation of law, from the Town of Buchanan, Outagamie County, Wisconsin.  That the territory so annexed is known and described as follows:

Beginning at the East ¼ corner Section 35, Township 21 North, Range 18 East Berntsen Monument;  Thence N89˚30’26”W, 1365.15 feet;  Thence S00˚16’24”W, 1775.07 feet;  Thence S89˚23’23”E, 678.05 feet;  Thence N00˚16’24”W, 452.81 feet;  Thence S89˚27’00”E, 649.64 feet;  Thence N00˚06’34”W, 1777.41 feet; to the Point of Beginning.

Being part of the Northeast ¼ of the Southeast ¼ of Section 35, Township 21 North, Range 18 East Government Lots 6, 7, & 8 Section 22 Township 21 North, Range 18 East, Town of Buchanan, Outagamie County, Wisconsin.  And part of the Southeast ¼ of the Southeast ¼ of Section 35, Township 21 North, Range 18 East Government Lots 6, 7, & 8 Section 22 Township 21 North, Range 18 East, Town of Buchanan, Outagamie County, Wisconsin.  Said parcel contains 2,064,744 Square feet (47.40 Acres) of land.

This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
