ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING PLACEMENT OF TRAFFIC REGULATION SIGNS ON 15th Street and Oakridge Avenue
WHEREAS, The City of Kaukauna Municipal Code, Section 7.13(1) provides for the Common Council to authorize erection of appropriate standard traffic signs, signals and markings conforming to the rules of the State Highway Division; and
WHEREAS, It is desirous that appropriate and adequate traffic control signs be installed and maintained throughout the City’s public roadways to ensure safe and efficient use of the roadways, and to ensure safety and security to the citizens of the City of Kaukauna; and
WHEREAS, It having been determined by the Common Council of the City of Kaukauna that removal of the current Southwest corner YIELD sign on Fifteenth and Oakridge Avenue, facing West, and placement of a YIELD sign on Oakridge Avenue at the intersection of Fifteenth Street facing South are required to ensure safe and efficient use of the public roadways, and to ensure safety and security to the citizens of the City of Kaukauna.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, that the Common Council of the City of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, does hereby authorize the Chief of Police, pursuant to Section 7.13(1) of the Municipal Code of the City of Kaukauna, to remove and erect the following traffic control signs:
FIFTEENTH STREET: Remove the current Southwest Corner Yield sign on Fifteenth and Oakridge Avenue.
OAKRIDGE AVENUE: Erect a Yield sign on Oakridge Avenue at the intersection of Fifteenth Street facing South.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Chief of Police is hereby directed to cause to be erected such traffic control signs as provided herein.
