We’re All In Small Business Grant

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) announced this week a new grant program for small businesses reopening following COVID-19 closures. The purpose of this grant is to encourage business reopening while also encouraging best practices to keep employees, customers and communities safe in light of COVID-19. The We’re All In small business grant is targeted for Wisconsin, for-profit businesses with 20 or fewer FTE (full time equivalent) employees, including the owner. Up to $2,500 will be provided as a grant to up to 30,000 qualifying businesses across Wisconsin.

Grant applications will be accepted by the WEDC for a one week period between Monday, June 15^th – Sunday, June 21^st.

A required part of the grant application is a Letter of Acknowledgement noting the address of the businesses and that the business was in operation prior to February 2020. The City of Kaukauna is able to provide any Kaukauna business intending to apply for this grant with a Letter of Acknowledgement.

Businesses considering applying for the grant are encouraged to request a Letter of Acknowledgement from the City of Kaukauna at any time between June 4^th-June 19^th. City staff asks that businesses request a letter of acknowledgement prior to 12:00 PM CST on Friday, June 19^th to ensure that all requesting businesses receive their letters prior to the application deadline on Sunday, June 21^st. Staff is seeking to have a 24-hour or less turnaround time for requested letters.

In addition to the City of Kaukauna, Letters of Acknowledgement can also be provided by the following organizations:

County government
Chambers of Commerce
Regional Plan Commissions
Local financial institutions
*Please note that an accounting professional may not provide a Letter of Acknowledgement

Please note that only one Letter of Acknowledgement is required and submitting more than one letter will not increase your likelihood of receiving the grant.
