KRD Details Program Cancellations

 The Recreation Department’s Main Office service window will be closed beginning Tuesday, March 17 at 8:00 am and will remain closed indefinitely.  We encourage everyone to take advantage of our online registration system and use email, postal mail & telephone for communication with staff.  There is also a deposit box available in the parking lot of the Municipal Service Building for the drop-off of rosters and other items that must be delivered.

Staff continues to work to facilitate recreation in our community.  Through social distancing, work from home options and a variety of technological means, we continue to answer phones and messages, attend to emails, and collect postal mailings.  Transactions can still be taken by telephone, by mail and online.  We are working to prepare for the summer season.  Our Program Guide will be offered online only this season and should be ready in a week or so.

Here are updates for our Dance program and various Spring programs.

Dance
Classes have been cancelled since March 16.  The Recital has been cancelled.  All tickets sold for these shows will be refunded less fees charged by our ticket agent, showtix4u.com.  After seeking options for rescheduling, we are unable to make any reasonable plans for make-up dates.   Our participation in the two competitions we have entered has been cancelled.  We have contacted both events requesting refunds for our dancers.  We attempted to offer online classes, but cancelled these amid concerns for the safety and security of our participants and potential liability for the City.

Spring Dance Classes
Unfortunately, all spring dance classes have been cancelled.  Class fees will be refunded by placing a credit on the family’s account which can be used on future KRD transactions.

Gymnastics
Unfortunately, all spring gymnastics classes have been cancelled.  Class fees will be refunded by placing a credit on the family’s account which can be used on future KRD transactions. Gymnastics will be offered during the summer session.

Spike Volleyball Club
Spike Volleyball has been cancelled mid-season.  A 50% refund will be placed on the family’s account which can be used on future KRD transactions.

Lil Mad Kat
Spring Lil Mad Kat Art Classes have been cancelled.  Class fees will be refunded by placing a credit on the family’s account which can be used on future KRD transactions.

KidStage
The Spring Muppet Show Production has been cancelled.  Class fees will be refunded by placing a credit on the family’s account which can be used on future KRD transactions.
We are working with KidStage staff to determine what will become of the Frozen production started in January.  At the moment classes have been cancelled, but the KidStage staff is still hoping for a reschedule.  We will update participants when we know more.
We plan to proceed with the Summer Camp KidStage production of 101 Dalmatians at this point.

Zentangle for Kids
Zentangle for Kids has been cancelled.  Class fees will be refunded by placing a credit on the family’s account which can be used on future KRD transactions.

Jimmy Buffet’s Escape to Margaritaville Trip to the PAC
Jimmy Buffet’s Escape to Margaritaville Trip to the PAC has been postponed until August 30.

Adult Softball Leagues
Adult Softball Leagues will likely go on in some form with a modified schedule.  Fees paid will be prorated accordingly.

Adult Pickleball
Adult Pickleball has been cancelled for Spring.  For those that paid the per night fees ahead, prorated fee refunds will be placed on account.

Outdoor Cooking: Cast Iron
Outdoor Cooking: Cast Iron classes have been cancelled.  Class fees will be refunded by placing a credit on the family’s account which can be used on future KRD transactions.  We are working with the instructor to reschedule these during the summer.

Basics of Photography
All Basics of Photography classes have been cancelled.  Class fees will be refunded by placing a credit on the family’s account which can be used on future KRD transactions.

Mind Over Matter – Healthy Bowel, Healthy Bladder
These classes have been postponed and will be rescheduled in partnership with The Aging and Disability Resource Center.

Strong Bodies Classes
All Spring Strong Bodies Classes have been cancelled.  Class fees will be refunded by placing a credit on the family’s account which can be used on future KRD transactions.
We hope to resume classes with the summer session.

Fitness Classes
Adult Fitness Sampler and Group Fitness Sampler classes have been suspended indefinitely.  We are working with Ghost Town Fitness to set up summer sessions.

XYZ Group and Steering Committee
All Meetings and Events of the XYZ Group including Steering Committee Meetings have been cancelled for this season.

Outagamie County Nutrition Program, Golden Agers and Hobby and Craft Club Use of City Rooms
All use of our reserveable spaces have been suspended until City Buildings are opened up to the public by order of the Mayor.

Pool, Community Room, 3rd Street Conference Room and Open-Air Shelter Rentals
New rentals for all of these rental spaces will not be taken for dates in April or May.  Reservations for dates beyond May 31 will be taken with the understanding that they tentative.
Any reservations cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation, will mean refunds will be granted without cancellation fees.

Pool Pass sales are currently suspended until further notice.
