Happy Holidays from Mayor Penterman
The end of the year invites a pause to reflect on the previous year’s milestones and challenges and to set goals for the year ahead.
2019 was not a year without challenges, but as a City, we successfully completed projects within our budget, including Phase III of the City Hall construction project with renovations to the new Recreation Department offices and the Community Room. The Kaukauna Public Library Interactive Learning Garden was completed in 2019, along with beginning phases of construction on the adjoining trail and Gathering of the Pike Plaza and sculpture.
2020 promises to be an exciting year with our City’s branding initiative and the beginning of construction on the boardwalk trail and pedestrian bridge to Little Chute. This dynamic trail network will improve the quality of life for all residents. Our park systems will see enhancements in 2020 – watch for improvements to Haas Road Park and the downtown’s Fassbender Park. The master plan for our Municipal Swimming Pool will also be unveiled. Stay tuned to our website and social media for updates on all these great happenings!
Our City department heads are constantly looking at ways to be fiscally responsible without jeopardizing the safety and services of our residents. 2020 promises to be an eventful year as we continue to move forward as a community and work together for Kaukauna.
I am proud to be Mayor of Kaukauna, and I want to take this opportunity to wish you and your families the very best this holiday season and in the New Year. I am sincerely honored to continue to serve you, and I look forward to the opportunities that lay ahead of us in 2020.
Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!
Mayor Anthony J. Penterman
