Notice to Contractors – Project 2-17 Quinney/Metoxen Utility Relay Phase 1 of 2

Notice is hereby given by the Board of Public Works of the City of Kaukauna that it will receive sealed bids for Project 2-17, QUINNEY/METOXEN UTILITY RELAY PHASE 1 of 2, until 6:00 p.m. on the first (1st) day of May, 2017 in the City Clerk/Treasurer’s office, Municipal Services Building, in the City of Kaukauna. The Board of Public Works will open bids in the Council Chambers at 6:00 p.m. on the same date. The bids shall be labeled “Project 2-17, QUINNEY/METOXEN UTILITY RELAY PHASE 1 of 2”

The estimated major quantities of Project 2-17 are listed below:

Furnish and install 18″ PVC sanitary sewer, 414 lineal feet
Furnish and install 15″ PVC sanitary sewer, 776 lineal feet
Furnish and install 8″ PVC sanitary sewer, 1,897 lineal feet
Furnish and install 48″ diameter sanitary manhole, 128.9 vertical feet
Furnish and install 4″ PVC laterals in public right of way, 1,195 lineal feet
Furnish and install 6″ PVC laterals, in public right of way 1,195 lineal feet
Furnish and install private laterals excavated, 100 lineal feet including turf restoration
Furnish and install private laterals pulled to interior cleanout, 1,200 lineal feet
Furnish and install directional bore and hydro-excavation for 6″ private laterals, 1 each
Furnish and Install new interior cleanout, including all interior connections, 50 Each
Provide testing and televising for all new sanitary sewer and laterals

Provide Sanitary Sewer By-Pass Pumping

Furnish and install 8″ PVC water main, 3,081 lineal feet
Furnish and install 6″ PVC water main, 808 lineal feet
Furnish and install 8″ water valve, 13 each
Furnish and install 6″ water valve, 11 each
Furnish and install 7.5′ Bury Hydrants, 8 each
Furnish and install 1 Inch water service, 1,811 lineal feet
Furnish and install 1 Inch service set, 59 each

Furnish and install 36″ RCP storm sewer, 32 lineal feet

Furnish and install 36″ HDPP/PVC storm sewer, 192 lineal feet

Furnish and install 24″ HDPP/PVC storm sewer, 200 lineal feet

Furnish and install 12″ Perforated PVC storm sewer, 39 lineal feet

Furnish and install 4″ PVC storm laterals in public right of way, 160 lineal feet

Furnish and install 60″ diameter storm manhole, 20.46 vertical feet

Furnish and install storm catch basin, 2 each

Furnish and install 36″ RCP Endwall with trash-rack

Furnish and install heavy riprap over HR fabric, 40 tons
Furnish and install asphalt patches for sidewalk, driveways, and 4th St Plaza, 100 tons

Furnish and install 2″ asphalt overlay, 2,500 tons

Provide traffic control and detour signage

Provide Tree Removal and Clearing/Grubbing on E 7th Street

Furnish and install turf restoration

The above work will be let to the lowest responsible bidder and must be performed in accordance with the specifications and contract now on file with the City Clerk/Treasurer. Bidder’s Proof of Responsibility must be on file in the City Clerk’s office by 4:30 p.m. on April 26th, 2017. **PLEASE NOTE THAT AS OF JANUARY 1, 2017 ALL BIDDERS INCLUDING SUBCONTRACTORS MUST SUBMIT BIDDER’S PROOF OF RESPONSIBILITY FORMS**

No bid can be received or considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, or a bid bond in equal amount payable to the City as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within ten (10) days from the date of the lowest responsible bidder’s bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to file such contract and bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. Plans and detailed specification, together with the form on contract and bond, and questionnaire to show bidder’s proof of responsibility in accordance with Section 66.0901 (2), Wisconsin Statutes, are on file and may be obtained at the City Clerk/Treasurer’s office or download at www.bpserviceplanroom.com.

The board reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
