Island Street Bridge Progress

Island Street Bridge is progressing along as planned. A mile stone in the project is coming next Tuesday August 9th. The Contractor is planning to pour the concrete deck beginning around 2am.
They are expected to pour about 490 cubic yards of concrete which will take about 6 hours. Once finished the concrete bridge deck will be covered with cloth type material and have a misty of water spraying on it for about 5 days to help with the curing process.
Traffic Interruption
Entrance to the Library and newly renovated Grand Kaklin building will be restricted from the north upper side of the bridge during the time. Entry to the library and the Old Eagle mill is accessible from Elm Street.
