How to Use RecTrac
As of 2023 the City of Kaukauna began using RecTrac for program registration, pavilion and park rentals, and disposal site card renewal. A Multi-Faceted Team

Community Enrichment Events
Have a great idea for this year’s Christmas Parade theme? We want to hear it! Kids ages 11 and under are invited to submit their best theme ideas.
The winner will receive a ride on the fire truck during the parade (with a parent or guardian) and have their winning theme showcased on our website and Facebook page.
If duplicate theme ideas are submitted, the entry received first will be considered.
Contest deadline: Friday, October 9.

Be part of one of Kaukauna’s favorite holiday traditions! Decorate a festive float and help spread holiday cheer with holiday music and spirit for all to enjoy.
Float entries must be submitted no later than Friday, November 13, 2026, to be considered for this year’s parade.
After the parade, join us in the Community Room at the Streets, Parks and Recreation (SPaR) Building for cookies and hot chocolate with Santa!

Santa’s mailbox is coming to Kaukauna!
From November 23 – December 11, write a letter to Santa and drop it in the special red mailbox at the Streets, Parks & Recreation (SPaR) Building. Santa’s elves will make sure your letter reaches the North Pole, and Santa will write a reply back to you before Christmas!
Be sure to include your name and mailing address so Santa knows where to send his response. (If you don’t include a return address, the KRD elves won’t know where to deliver Santa’s reply!)
Santa will respond to each letter placed in the mailbox as long as the envelope includes the sender’s name, mailing address, and proper postage. Replies will arrive by mail before Christmas!
In partnership with the Village of Little Chute
On December 30 come explore our local parks and enjoy a holiday treat! Find a hidden candy cane, take a selfie with your candy cane and email: [email protected] for a chance to WIN a prize!
Participating parks include:

- Island Park (LC)
- Heesakker Park (LC)
Please take one candy cane per child so all children have the opportunity to search!

Let’s Light Up Kaukauna with Holiday Spirit!
Do you go all out decorating your home for the holidays? Enter the Holiday House Decorating Contest and help spread cheer throughout Kaukauna!
Registration is FREE! Simply register your house address through the Community Enrichment and Recreation website by December 15.
All registered homes will be featured on an online holiday lights map, giving families a fun way to tour and enjoy the festive displays throughout Kaukauna.
Judges will visit registered homes on Monday, December 21, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Winners will be announced on December 22nd.
Services
The Street, Parks and Recreation building offers the newly remodeled Community Room and 3rd Street Conference Room for rentals. The Community Room has a capacity of 200 people. Tables and chairs are available for renters’ use. An attached kitchen, which can be rented for an additional $25.00 fee, includes a stove with double-oven, refrigerator and three basin wash sink. The Rental Fee is $150.00 for City Residents and $250.00 for Non-Resident. A returnable deposit of $200.00 is required at time of purchase. Kaukauna-based Not-for-Profit Organizations can rent the room for $50 with a $100 deposit.
The 3rd Street Conference Room is a meeting room with a capacity of 25 people. It has attached restrooms, two presentation monitors and a sink and counter.
A rental agreement and payment is required to guarantee date.
The open-air shelters at Riverside, Hydro, Horseshoe Valley and LaFollette Parks are available for rental the months of May through September. The fee varies based on location. A Rental Agreement and payment is required before rental is guaranteed.
Volleyball nets are also available during park rental at no cost. Please reserve a volleyball net from the Street, Parks and Recreation office.

Please Note: 1000 Islands Environmental Center also has an open-air shelter that can be reserved by contacting Center staff at 920.766.4733.
The City of Kaukauna has wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, and commodes available for use on a temporary basis. Please contact the Community Enrichment & Recreation Department at 920.766.6335 if you are in need of any of these items on a loan basis.
