1-25 Concrete Street Paving Project

Haas Road from White Wolf Lane to White Dove Lane will be paved with an asphalt binder mat the week of September 15th .

The landscape work will continue on White Birch and Beckett Lane.  The Landscaper will be finishing the landscape restoration on either Friday or Saturday this week. After the landscaping is finished, we recommend that the homeowners water the new landscaping a couple times a week.  This will speed up the growth of the grass, which will prevent weeds from growing.

If the contractor did the terrace landscaping across your property, you could install your mailbox in accordance with the guidelines from the Post Office, see street locations below.

  • Antelope – North Side of Street EXCEPT for 2101, 2111, 2121 ARE SOUTH side of Street
    • The Post Office has a correction to the mailbox placement along Antelope. 2151 and 2161 Antelope need to be on the North Side of the road.
  • Haas Road – East Side of Street
  • Snow Goose – West Side of Street
  • Beckett – East Side of Street
  • Weiler Road – Can place them in front of their house – either side of the road

The construction schedule may change due to weather or contracts other obligations.

2-25 Tobacnoir Area Utility Relay

Carl Bowers ConstructionWill have 2 crews on site working in separate locations:

  • Crew 1 – Will be working on Sanitary Sewer Laterals and Water Services between the main lines in the roadway up to the back of sidewalk on Oviatt Street between Ducharme and Seymour. Once laterals are finished, they will be working on constructing new water main on Desnoyer Street.
  • Crew 2 – Will be off site to start the week, scheduled to return on Wednesday. They will be working on constructing new water main on Seymour Street and/or Blackwell Street between Seymour and Delanglade.

3-25 Alley Paving Project

The contractor has excavated and placed stone on the alley between Crooks Avenue and Sullivan Avenue.  They will continue the excavation and stone placement between Sullivan Avenue and Kenneth Avenue. They will also excavate and place stone on the section between Kenneth Avenue and Eden Avenue the week of September 8th .

The contractor will be doing the fine grading on the alley from Crooks Avenue to Eden Avenue either Friday September 12th or Monday the 15th. Paving will take place shortly after the fine grading is complete.

Please find alternative parking while the contractor is working in the alley behind your property.

For garbage pick up, please set out your garbage and recycling like usual.

General Notes

DRIVEWAYS/PARKING – Please do not park on the road while the contractor is performing their work in the area. They need plenty of room for their trucks and equipment to be able to easily, quickly, and safely complete their work. Park in your driveway if possible, or on the nearest side street.

  • If you need special accommodations for parking, please reach out as we can arrange different parking options. This includes anyone with disabilities, recent surgeries, expecting mothers, and mothers with newborns that have appointments. Unfortunately, there is no “one size fits all” for parking and property access. The fewer cars that the contractor has to work around, the faster they can get the work done on your block and move on.

WORK ZONE SAFETY – While driving through the construction site, be sure to travel slowly and keep an eye out for equipment. This not only cuts down on dust, but also keeps the construction workers safe. Operators try their best to see traffic, but their view can be obstructed at times. It is always best to try and gain eye contact with equipment operators prior to driving by. You may need to wait at times before driving by depending on the work being performed. Please be patient during construction.

*  PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WORK AND SCHEDULE CAN CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER OR UNFORSEEN CONSTRUCTION DELAYS. THESE UPDATES ARE TO AID THE COMMUNICATION PROCESS AS WE ALL WORK TOGETHER TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT IN A TIMELY MANNER  *

Utility and Street Construction is not easy. There will be dirt, mud, dust, equipment, and workers everywhere. Construction activity will be noisy, and getting to your residence will be difficult at times. We understand that it can be frustrating while it happens, but we ask for your patience and understanding as we make the much needed improvements to your street and utilities. Please do not hesitate to contact our Engineering Department with any questions or concerns. We can’t help if we don’t know.
