This budget public hearing will be on November 18, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. at the council meeting at the Municipal Services Building, 144 W Second Street.

In this proposed budget, the levy dollars increased $630,653 and the assessed tax rate for the City of Kaukauna is proposed to decrease by (26.55%). The City mill rate is expected to decrease from $9.99 to $7.34 (-$2.65).

Things happening in this budget include:

  • A healthy increase in Equalized Value within the City of Kaukauna at 11.99%
  • Assess valued in the five main classes is increasing 44.3%
  • The Citywide revaluation was completed which means Equalized vs. Assessment Ratio is in Compliance once again at 98.8% and close to the desired 100%.
  • Navigating the City personnel and staffing levels with the current labor market and needs within the City. Adding 3 Full-time positions and increasing 1 Part-time to Full-time.
  • Continue working toward the strategic plan initiatives

Needs being addressed in this budget:

  • Council Chambers AV/Auto Upgrade
  • Intranet Setup & Phone System Upgrade
  • Wage Study
  • Personnel needs in various departments
  • Strategic Plan update 2027-2031
